MCMH Nearing Fund-raising Goal

ELLSWORTH — Maine Coast Memorial Hospital is now within $94,000 of successfully matching a $500,000 challenge grant to benefit the hospital’s new F. Eugene Dixon, Jr. Emergency Center.

Jack Frost, head of the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital Foundation, said the hospital received several gifts and pledges during the first week of May that totaled nearly $45,000.

The hospital has until the end of the month to raise the remaining funds.

Frost said the Capital Campaign Committee and the Board of Trustees continue to seek support from the community to reach the fund-raising goal.
