McDonald’s National Scholarship Foundation annouces Award

McDonald’s of Ellsworth has announced that shift manager Nicholas Hunt recently received a McDonald’s National Scholarship Foundation Award in the amount of $2,500 for continuing education.

Hunt started with the company in June 2008 as a crew member. This scholarship is the highest one the foundation grants and only three are given for the Boston region, of which Ellsworth is a part.

The award is based on good grades, volunteer service, excellent work reviews and promotions within the company. Hunt, a 2010 Ellsworth High School graduate, attends Eastern Maine Community College in a liberal arts program with an emphasis on math.
