MOUNT DESERT — Voters here on Monday approved the sale of up to $2.2 million in bonds for major improvements to the Northeast Harbor marina. The vote was 220-184.

Voters also returned Tom Richardson and Rick Mooers to the board of selectmen. Mr. Richardson, who was appointed to the board to fill a vacancy last November, was elected to his first three-year term with 280 votes. Mr. Mooers was elected to his second term with 251 votes. Sumner Rulon-Miller received 180 votes.
Also approved in balloting Monday was a change in the town charter regarding the approval of “emergency ordinances.” Starting next year, ordinances approved at a special town meeting will not have to be voted on again at the next regular town meeting.
