Mariaville Grange News of Neighbors

Mariaville Grange’s fall festival, held on Oct 24, was deemed a success, in spite of the inclement weather, and we want to thank our vendors Lynn, Pati, Cynthia, Jackie, Sheryl, Randy, Linda, Jennifer, Jeannette, Julia and Lance.

Also on Grange tables Judy, Bev and Pat and Paul for doing the refreshments and Arthur, our cashier. It was a busy day, and we saw lots of our neighbors and friends, so that, in itself, was rewarding, and with any luck, we will make this an annual event.

There also, is one very special person who did so much for our cause, and he gets the biggest thank you of all, Joe O’Kane. He was there in the very beginning moving our Grange furniture and also at the end replacing those same pieces! Joe is a senior at Ellsworth High School and this is just one of the many kindnesses he does as a common thing. He also volunteers at the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital four mornings a week.

On Nov. 21, Green Mountain Pomona will have their meeting at the hall.

Our Grange is now collecting mittens for the mitten tree, so ladies get those needles going and make our tree shine.

We do love company, so come on up, over or down — just come!
