ELLSWORTH — A local man who broke into a Gouldsboro residence and stole guns and a wallet while a homeowner was sleeping will serve nine months in jail and two years probation.
Adam Sinclair, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday to burglary, two counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating conditions of his release.
Before the sentence was imposed there was last minute negotiating to help Sinclair avoid a stint in prison and an admonishment from the judge that he find different friends.
Assistant District Attorney Bill Entwisle said the home invasion occurred May 16, 2009.
