Local Dems holding pair of programs

ELLSWORTH — The Hancock County Democrats are sponsoring two upcoming programs.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, a talk titled “Redesigning National Health Care Delivery: Eastern Maine Healthcare’s Role” is scheduled.

The program will be held at the Riverside Café in Ellsworth.

Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems will describe its role in the redesign of the nation’s health care delivery.

The program is free and open to the public.

A program on the Jackson Lab is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. at Ellsworth City Hall.

The talk is titled “The Jackson Laboratory – a Major Scientific and Economic Driver in Hancock County, Maine, and the United States.”

The presentation will include information about the laboratory’s contributions to biomedical science and human health, education and the impact on local and state economies in Maine.

The Hancock County Democrats’ regular monthly meeting follows the program at 8. Visitors are welcome to stay.
