Live music in Stonington May 12



STONINGTON — Opera House Arts is returning to hosting additional live music performances and events in its lobby overlooking Stonington Harbor.

Thursdays at the Opera House events continue on May 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Stonington Opera House. All are welcome to come enjoy live music, food and fun. Admission is free. Concessions are available including pizza, popcorn and drinks. Proof of COVID vaccination is required.

Performing May 12 is Stearns & Barrett. Lee Stearns is from Yarmouth and has played music as far away as Japan to California, Florida, Virginia, Minnesota and New Jersey. He enjoys playing popular songs from the 1950s to today, as well as his own originals. Jack Barrett grew up in the Washington, D.C., area where he played with the psychedelic revival bands The Lava Lamps and Squid 4. After moving to Maine over 35 years ago, he co-founded Moo Goo And The Gai Pans and then formed The Van Gogh Gos.

Barrett met Stearns in 2020 and has played with Lee’s band Why Whisper ever since.
