BLUE HILL — The Shaw Institute’s 2018 lecture series continues on Wednesday, June 27, at 6 p.m. with “Caveat Emptor! Cell Phones, Brain Cancer, PCBs and Diabetes.”
David Carpenter MD, director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the School of Public Health at SUNY-Albany, will be the speaker.
For more than 25 years, Carpenter’s research interest has been the relationship between contaminants and human health. In this lecture he will focus on two serious issues of public concern — the health risks of cell phone radiation and the association between PCB exposure and diabetes.
The lecture will be preceded by a reception at 5:30.
