Lecture at SERC Slated for July 11

WINTER HARBOR — Brownie Carson, executive director of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, will speak on Saturday, July 11, at 7 p.m. at Moore Auditorium on the campus of the Schoodic Education and Research Center.

Carson’s presentation, titled “50 Years of Environmental Protection for Maine: What We’ve Learned, What’s Next,” is part of the Second Saturday lecture series sponsored by Acadia Partners for Science and Learning, Acadia National Park and the Schoodic Committee of Friends of Acadia.

The Natural Resources Council of Maine is a nonprofit membership organization working statewide for clean air, healthy waters, safeguards for citizens and wildlife, forest protections and clean, renewable energy solutions.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
