Lawther Joins Blue Hill Heritage Trust

BLUE HILL — Charlotte Clews Lawther has joined the staff of the Blue Hill Heritage Trust as its stewardship coordinator. Selected from a large pool of applicants, Lawther will have responsibility for overseeing the management of the conservation lands that the Trust owns or monitors.

Lawther grew up in Blue Hill and is a graduate of the Bay School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in ecology from Cornell University and a master’s degree in botany from the Field Naturalist Program at the University of Vermont. She has worked as an instructor at the National Outdoor Leadership School and as a naturalist park ranger with Acadia National Park.

Lawther and her husband, Jerome, live in Blue Hill with their two daughters, Lucy (age 3) and Georgia (age 1½).
