LAMOINE — Nomination papers for seats on the town’s Select Board, School Committee and Board of Assessors are now available.
Candidates who gather signatures of at least 25 registered voters (and no more than 75) will be placed on the town’s ballot for its March 8, 2022, election, according to a post on the town’s website.
Papers will be accepted by the town clerk no later than Jan. 7, 2022.
On the Select Board, the seats held by Kathleen Rybarz and Bob Christie are up for re-election. On the School Committee, the seats held by Chairman Brett Jones and Robert Pulver are up for re-election.
For the Board of Assessors, Chairwoman Jane Fowler’s seat is up.
All seats are for three-year terms.
The papers became available Nov. 24. So far, only Jones has taken out papers, but has not returned them, said Stu Marckoon, the administrative assistant to the Select Board.
