Kenya is Focus Of Kids’ Program

BLUE HILL — Saturday Stories at the Blue Hill Public Library is going on an around-the-world tour.

The popular children’s program highlights a different country each month and participants are issued “passports,” which they can get stamped for each new country.

Throughout the month of January, the country will be the African country of Kenya. Kenyan folktales will be read, children will explore Kenyan customs, culture, crafts and food and on Jan. 9, author Kelly Cunnane will present a special program focusing on her book “For You Are a Kenyan Child” and her experiences living in Kenya.

“Around the World on Saturday” starts at 11 a.m. each Saturday morning.
