Junior Ranger Day Set for April 24

ACADIA NAT’L PARK — National Junior Ranger Day at Acadia National Park is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Children ages 5 to 12 and their families (former, current and “wanna-be” junior rangers included) are invited to get outside, get moving, explore and discover how to protect Acadia’s natural and historical resources.

Junior Ranger Day will take place at the Sieur de Monts Spring area on Route 3 south of Bar Harbor. The day’s events will include stations for games, arts, nature hikes and cultural activities. Participants will earn a National Junior Ranger Day patch. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Activities will run rain or shine.

The event is sponsored by Acadia National Park, the Wild Gardens Committee of Friends of Acadia, the Abbe Museum and College of the Atlantic’s Dorr Museum.
