Iced Coffee Day

’Tis nearly the season. So why not treat yourself to a small iced coffee for 50 cents on April 21 at Dunkin’ Donuts.
For every small iced coffee purchased that day, the Massachusetts-based chain of coffee-and-baked-goods shops will donate 5 cents to benefit Homes for Our Troops. The nonprofit organization builds specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans. Dunkin’ Donuts is also recruiting one million new volunteers to support Homes for Our Troops’ efforts. Volunteering could mean making a monetary donation, hosting a virtual fund-raiser, donating services for a local “Build Brigade” to help construct a home for a veteran in need or donating materials, equipment or land for new homes. The first 200 people to sign up as volunteers will receive free Dunkin’ Donuts coffee for one month. To sign up, go to www.dunkindonuts.com/icedcoffeeday.
