Human Workshop

BAR HARBOR — A two-day workshop offered at The Whole Health Center in Bar Harbor on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1 and 2, will paint a comprehensive picture of healthy human development by integrating perspectives from psychology, spirituality and brain science. It will examine the common roots of psychological, emotional and spiritual maturity, looking at issues of parenting and child development, as well as at issues of personal healing and spiritual practice.

The second day will largely focus on experiential exercises that support growth throughout life.

The weekend workshop, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days, has been tailored to meet the needs of the general public as well as of mental health professionals (for whom CEUs are offered).

According to presenter Paul Weiss, who has directed The Whole Health Center since 1981, “Today we are capable of a model of human development that recognizes and accounts for the full dimension of human experience, and the full dimension of the healing process. This workshop is intended to help us make better sense of our lives and of the avenues of growth open to us.”
