Human trafficking is subject of lecture

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — International Partners in Mission (IPM) and the Southwest Harbor Public Library will host a discussion on human trafficking on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6-7:30 p.m.

The discussion will be facilitated by Sr. Anthonia Ugheighele in the Holmes Room. Sr. Anthonia is the Project Coordinator of the IPM sponsored “Project Hope/Speranza II” based in Castel Volturno, Italy. The effort provides a safe haven for African women who are victims of sex trafficking between Nigeria and Italy.

IPM is a Bar Harbor-based non-profit that works across borders of faith, culture, and economic circumstance with children, women, and youth to create partnerships that build justice, peace, and hope.
