TRENTON — Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County is hosting a conference titled “Improving Care for Veterans Facing Illness and Death” on Friday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Faith Community Fellowship in Trenton.
Registration begins at 8:30. The program includes a televised national panel of experts brought together by the Hospice Foundation of America who will address the end-of-life needs of veterans, plus a live local panel of representatives of programs providing services to veterans and their caregivers in this area.
The cost to the community for the program is $20 for the entire day, including lunch, with hospice volunteers paying $15.
A companion book produced by the Hospice Foundation of America is available for $29. Pre-registration is requested by May 13.
