Hospice Announces Summer Programs

ELLSWORTH — Hospice of Hancock County has added three support groups for the summer months.

One of the new additions is a caregiver support group. The goal is for the group to provide a forum for caregivers to learn from one another, to share their experience and wisdom, and to take a bit of a break from their daily care-giving responsibilities.

The group will meet on the third Monday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from July through October.

Those interested should call Hospice of Hancock County at 667-2531 for more information.

A bereavement support group for widows and widowers will meet weekly on Wednesdays from July 22 to Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bereavement group for adults who have lost a parent or sibling will gather on Thursday evenings from July 23 to Sept. 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating in any of these groups should contact Mary-Carol Griffin at 667-2531, to arrange a pre-group interview.
