Horizons Party

BAR HARBOR — A Christmas party for Downeast Horizons program participants with developmental disabilities (mostly adults), family and staff members will be held at the MDI Center, the original home of Downeast Horizons at 1200 State Highway 3 on Friday, Dec. 14, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

With more than 100 people expected, the party will feature Santa Claus, refreshments, Christmas carol sing-alongs and gifts selected for each individual program participant. “You will see lots of smiles and joy among the program participants as they enjoy Christmas as it is meant to be for everyone,” observes Tony Zambrano, executive director of Downeast Horizons.

“It is truly a joy to experience the holidays with them in a way that encourages their communication, social interaction and having fun with friends and families and our staff who work with them.”
