History talk set at Witherle Library



CASTINE — On Friday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m., Professor Anette Ruppel Rodrigues will present “Life at Fort George: Scots, Loyalists and Hessians between 1779 and 1783” at the Witherle Memorial Library.

Ruppel Rodrigues, who teaches at Maine Maritime Academy and the University of Maine-Orono, will discuss her research on life at the fort in the late 18th century.

Ruppel Rodrigues serves on the board of the Friends of Castine Fortifications, which works to preserve and restore the many fortifications of Castine and to promote awareness of their educational value.
