History lecture at Blue Hill Library



BLUE HILL — The Blue Hill Public Library is hosting a lecture titled “An Oral Blue Hill History” on Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. The talk will also be available online via Zoom. The speakers are Jerry Butler and Denny Robertson.

Butler, a former president of the Historical Society, was born and raised in Blue Hill and has a fine memory for names and dates of historical events.

Robertson, also with a fine memory, and also a former officer of the Historical Society, has been a member of the Blue Hill Fire Department for 66 years, serving as fire chief for 35 years. He is a poet and a storyteller and is currently the town’s harbormaster.
