SEDGWICK — The Sedgwick-Brooklin Historical Society has announced that its 25th anniversary log-sawing and ax-throwing contest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m.
The event will take place across from the 1794 Meetinghouse on North Sedgwick Road, Route 172, one and a half miles from the Sedgwick village center.
Ribbons will be presented and apples pressed for cider on a 19th century hand-cranked cider press. There will also be exhibits and displays.
