ELLSWORTH — The Hancock County Higher Education Center will host a program titled “Same Day Admission” on Thursday, April 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The program is intended to help “jump start” high school seniors who would like to attend college on campus or at the Hancock County Higher Education Center in September 2011.
Participants in this year’s program can apply to one of several degree options at the University of Maine at Augusta or Eastern Maine Community College.
Admission representatives will meet individually with students to review application materials, placement test results and to discuss degree programs.
Application fees will be waived for “Same Day” participants. Students should bring a completed application form and official high school transcripts. Transcripts must be in a sealed envelope addressed to the appropriate admissions office.
Students must take the placement test scheduled for 10:30 a.m. or provide proof of SAT test results. High school seniors interested in participating must be referred by their guidance office.
A financial aid workshop will also be offered on Wednesday, April 20, from 4 to 6 p.m.
