Heritage Trust workshop Saturday

BLUE HILL — Blue Hill Heritage Trust is sponsoring a workshop led by Nathan Rutenbeck on ecological forestry and small woodlot management.

The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This members-only workshop will cover the history of forest usage in Maine, the modern rationale for ecology-based forestry and principles and practices for sustainable multi-use management of your own forest land.

The two-part format begins with a presentation at the Trust office, 258 Mountain Road in Blue Hill, followed by a site visit to the Trust’s Kingdom Woods Conservation Area.

Pre-registration is required. The program is free to all Blue Hill Heritage Trust members.
