Heart Gallery Now On Display

ELLSWORTH — The city of Ellsworth is hosting a Main Street Heart Gallery display sponsored by A Family for ME.

Thirty-five photographs are being displayed in local Ellsworth businesses. The Heart Gallery program consists of photographs of the 153 children who are in need of adoptive families in the state of Maine.

Since 2003, 490 children have been photographed for the Heart Gallery program and of those children 304 have been adopted.

A Family for ME is a nonprofit organization contracted by the state of Maine to increase awareness about the need for more foster and adoptive families in Maine.

The display is running through March 31.
