HARRINGTON — Area residents are invited to celebrate fall at Harrington’s Oktoberfest.
The free community event will take place Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 11 a.m. with a parade that begins on Main Street across from the town office. Lucille Willey, former principal at Narraguagus Junior/Senior High School, is grand marshal.
At noon, the festivities move to Bigelow Park, with music by the Cherryfield Band, bounce houses, laser tag, a kiddie train and vendors with goods for sale. As in previous years, Scovils Millside Dining will be serving free food until 4 p.m.
The day ends with a dance for those aged 21 and older at the Harrington VFW.
