Genealogy Group Meets Nov. 21

ELLSWORTH — On Saturday, Nov. 21, the 2:30 p.m. meeting of the Hancock Genealogical Society in the Riverview Room of the Ellsworth Public Library will feature two speakers.


Between 2:30 and 3, Marty Lyons will talk to the group about scanning old photos as part of the society’s photo scanning project.

Local historian Mark Honey will speak at 3. Honey has just published the first in a series of books on the history of lumbering on the Union River.

Honey will be available for questions after his talk.
