Franklin News of Neighbors

We are saddened by the loss of Dave Williams. Dave and his wife, Erma, have been a such a big part of our town.

Not only was Dave involved in our Fire Department for many, many years, I remember him as one of our bus drivers. He will be missed and remembered by many. Deepest sympathy and prayers for Erma, Lloyd, Sharon and their families and friends.

Deepest sympathies for Karen Anderson and her family and friends on the passing of her mom, Priscilla Webber. Services were held over Memorial Day weekend. She will be missed and remembered by those who cared for her and whom she cared for as well.

The Franklin Baptist Church is hosting an “under the tent” outdoor Christian concert and barbecue this Saturday, Sept. 19, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The concert will feature Christian musical groups Forgiven and Heaven’s Blend. A free-will offering will be taken and the barbecue will take place between bands. Donations are appreciated but not necessary. Some seating will be provided, however, feel free to bring your own lawn chair! For more information, please call 565-0975.

Congratulations to the newly formed Ellsworth Football League fifth and sixth grade team! The boys experienced their first game ever this past Saturday against Hampden, and walked away strongly with their first win 20-13! Way to go, kids! And a special cheer for my son Jacob and friend Xan Rush for their great participation and tackles for the Eagles!
