Former EPA official to speak Sept. 24

BROOKSVILLE — As part of its Climate Awareness Program, the Reversing Falls Sanctuary will host a meet-and-greet with retired Environmental Protection Agency official Keith Mason on Monday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m.

Mason, a resident of Blue Hill and Silver Spring, Md., will share thoughts from his 30-year environmental career at the EPA.

Previous duties included directing the national economic analysis of the US Clean Air Act (1990) and the U.S.-Euro Environmental and Trade Program for the United States trade representative.

Mason, a graduate from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, will give some insights into the operations of federal departments at a national and international level, and how the orientation of the current administration influences such activities.
