BAR HARBOR — The town pier and Hadley Point Beach have been included as sites on the Downeast Fisheries Trail following unanimous town council action Tuesday.
Buy a vote of 7-0, councilors approved placing the sites on the trail, which means they will be included on a brochure-style map of the trail, along with short write-ups about the areas.
The trail is a project of the University of Maine Sea Grant program, and is meant to provide education showcasing active and historic fisheries heritage sites.
