Fire Department Open House Oct. 13

ORLAND — The Orland Fire Department will observe Fire Prevention Week with an open house at the fire station on Schoolhouse Road on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon.


Department members will conduct fire prevention and safety training and activities for all ages.

The department will provide information about house numbering and smoke detectors.

Visitors can practice with real fire extinguishers and register for fire safety door prizes. Equipment and trucks will be on display.

Anyone interested in joining the all-volunteer department can talk to active firefighters and support members.
