Fantail Permit Granted

BAR HARBOR — The Fantail Pub on Pleasant Street will be able to have live music and dancing now that the town council has approved a special amusement permit for the establishment. At its regular meeting on Tuesday, the council granted pub owner Doug Smith and manager Peter Alley a Class 3 permit that allows three or more musicians, mechanical amplification and dancing.

The council routinely grants all first-time special amusement permit requests, noting there is a mechanism for revocation should excessive noise or disruption become a problem.
