Explorer Adds Ellsworth Service

ELLSWORTH — Downeast Transportation has announced the addition of daily service between Ellsworth and the Hulls Cove Visitor Center in Acadia National Park to its Island Explorer project beginning June 23.

The service will run through Sept. 4.

There will be one trip from Ellsworth each morning with stops at:

• Ramada Inn – 9:20 a.m.

• Hampton Inn – 9:25 a.m.

• Eagles Lodge Motel – 9:28 a.m.

• Timberland Acres RV Park – 9:35 a.m.

The bus will arrive at the Visitor Center at 10:05 a.m.

There will be one return trip in the afternoon departing Hulls Cove Visitor Center at 4:55 p.m.

This new service, like all of Island Explorer’s service, is open to the public and fare-free, although a park entry pass is required to use Acadia National Park.
