BLUE HILL — The public is invited to participate in the Blue Hill Public Library Play Reading Group on Wednesday, March 21, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the library.
This month the group will read “The Caretaker” by Harold Pinter.
Author Emily Bracale will return to the library to read and show images from her new book, “Our Last Six Months: an Illustrated Memoir about Death, Cancer, End-of-Life Care, Love, Family, and Forgiveness,” on Thursday, March 22, at 7 p.m.
The book is about Bracale’s friend, independent single dad Aubrey, who reveals that he has stage 4 cancer, whereupon “normal life” goes out the window for his ex-wife and their 13-year old son.
Books will be available for sale and signing.
On Friday, March 23, at 7 p.m., Downeast Audubon and the Blue Hill Public Library will co-sponsor a slide presentation by Laura Suomi-Lecker of the Avian Haven Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center.
The program will focus on common reasons why birds are admitted to Avian Haven Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center and what public citizens can do to help our local birds.
For more information on any of these events, call the library at 374-5515.
