Ellsworth Police: Man Arrested in Domestic Incident

ELLSWORTH — A local man was arrested after police and Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic incident at a Cards Court residence.


Jamie Brown, 30, was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening and violating conditions of his release.


A sport utility vehicle went off the road and into a group of trees after losing traction in slush on Mariaville Road Friday, police said.

Ashley Soule, 26, of Mariaville was driving south in a 1997 Jeep, which sustained an estimated $5,500 in damage, police said.

A turkey flew up from the roadway and struck the windshield of an SUV on Route 1 Sunday, causing minor damage.

Police said Christine Holmes, 24, of Southwest Harbor was driving west in a 2003 GMC, which sustained an estimated $500 in damage. There was no word on the turkey’s condition.

A vehicle sustained a flat tire when a Holden resident struck a pothole on Route 1A near Ledge Way Friday morning, police said.


Radio Shack reported that a Hewlett Packard notebook laptop had been stolen Feb. 25.

Arrests and Summonses

Stephen Butler, 50, Tremont, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.

Dean Fernald, 30, Ellsworth, Ellsworth District Court warrant failure to appear.

Ryan P. Stilwell, 27, Winterport, warrant failure to pay fine.
