ELLSWORTH — The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. in the library’s Riverview Room.
The group will hold a brief business meeting with election of officers and reports on the past year’s activities.
The business meeting will be followed by a program by Mary Sylvester of Sylvester Planning Solutions/Sylvester Fundraising Solutions of Auburn.
Sylvester is currently acting as a consultant to the library, assisting with the development of a long-range plan. Her presentation will include what public libraries of the 21st century are doing to adapt to changes in the needs of those of all ages who use them. She will also discuss the findings of various community surveys and conversations that she conducted on behalf of the Ellsworth library this spring and summer.
Light refreshments will be served after the program. The public is invited to attend.
