Ellsworth Fire Department hosting open house

ELLSWORTH — The Ellsworth Fire Department is hosting an open house Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The theme this year is the life span of a smoke alarm — 10 years,” said Deputy Fire Chief Gary Saunders.

The department also will have fire safety stations set up for children to practice “stop, drop and roll.”

There will be a station where children can draw a home escape plan. Children who finish their plan and give it to the Fire Department will receive a coupon for a small three-topping pizza from Pat’s Pizza.
