Edible Flowers Workshop Aug. 6

ELLSWORTH — Woodlawn, in partnership with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program, will offer an edible flowers and edible landscaping workshop on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Hancock/Washington County Master Gardener Lavon Bartel, will share her experience as a cook and gardener on how to use flowers as foods and food decorations.

She will discuss how edible flowers can add color and flavor to a variety of dishes. In addition, she will bring a variety of resources to show how others have incorporated edible flowers into recipes and landscapes.

The workshop is free of charge, but donations to help Woodlawn develop more programs are greatly appreciated.

Call 667-8671 or e-mail [email protected] to reserve a seat or for more information.
