Duo Offers Info On Service Dogs

MOUNT DESERT — Lynn and Robert Boulier, founders of Tail Waggin’ Training Center in Levant, Maine, will provide an informational program regarding service dogs on Sunday, April 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mount Desert Fire Department’s Somesville Station.

Trained service dogs assist individuals with physical, neurological and social challenges. Some people need help opening doors, reaching light switches, removing clothes and fetching items. Others might need help with balance support, emotional comfort and retrieval help. These dogs increase the quality of life for people living with disabilities and provide greater independence in a very independent world.

The event is sponsored by the Downeast Dog Scouts. All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact [email protected] or 266-5807
