Downeast Trout Unlimited online meeting Dec. 15

ELLSWORTH — The Downeast chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold an online meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 5:30 p.m.

Guest speaker Lou Zambello will present a talk titled “Tactics and Fly Patterns for Catching Brook Trout and Landlocked Salmon Throughout the Year.”

Zambello is a registered Maine guide and author. He has fished northern New England for over 30 years, and traveled across the U.S., Canada and to Russia to pursue his passion. He writes a monthly column for the Maine Sportsman.

In keeping with the holiday spirit, Downeast Trout Unlimited will have two special gifts for those attending the meeting. Zambello has donated an autographed first edition copy of his book “Flyfishing Northern New England Seasons,” to be auctioned and given to one meeting participant. Those signing into the presentation that evening will be entered into a drawing to receive the book. Downeast Trout Unlimited hats are also available for $25.
