SOMESVILLE — Downeast Dog Scouts Troop 159 will be holding a yard sale on Saturday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to noon. The sale will be held at the Mount Desert Fire Department’s Somesville station.
Donations will be accepted Friday, June 5, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the station.
All proceeds from the Yard sale will go toward the Downeast Dog Scouts’ community service projects and community education programs.
Downeast Dog Scouts members and their dogs provide therapy dog visits to hospitals and assisted living facilities throughout Hancock County. They also support and participate in children reading to dogs programs in schools and libraries.
The Downeast Dog Scouts Troop is a membership organization in Hancock County that promotes responsible dog ownership and increases the awareness of the human/canine bond.
