Discussion set at Ellsworth Library

ELLSWORTH — The Ellsworth Public Library, Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School and the city of Ellsworth will present a community conversation titled “Engage Ellsworth: Kindness in Our Community” on Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the library.

The event is free and open to the public.

The event will feature a panel of middle school students, moderated by EEMS Principal Erica Gabbianelli, who will discuss how the students and staff are working to foster a positive school environment by participating in “Rachel’s Challenge,” a nationally recognized program that pursues the mission to promote safer, more connected schools.

The panel will be followed by a community conversation around the topic of kindness.
