BREWER — The Hancock County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a Project Food, Land and People Educators Training on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer.
Project Food, Land and People is a national educational curriculum focusing on agriculture, the environment and people of the world. This curriculum consists of 55 hands-on lessons for grades pre K-12. The workshop provides the training necessary to receive this curriculum and provides participants with six CEUs for recertification.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided. Participants also receive the Food, Land and People Resources Binder that includes 55 lessons for grades pre-K-12.
The cost is $25 per person. Pre-registration is required and is due by Oct. 30 by calling the Hancock County Soil & Water Conservation District at 667-8663.
