Construction to start at Wildwood

ACADIA NAT’L PARK — Beginning about the second week of January and continuing into the spring, an earth moving contractor will be working at Wildwood Stables.

Crews will be re-grading the site, improving drainage, and replacing fencing on the east side of the stables driveway. This work will require the contractor to travel both ways on the one-way section of the closed loop road between the paved stables entrance and the intersection with the Jordan Pond Road.

When snow is on the ground, snowmobiles will still be able to pass through the stables to the carriage road section used to connect to the loop road at the Jordan Pond boat ramp lot.
