BLUE HILL — The Blue Hill Public Library is introducing “Library Café,” an occasional Friday night coffeehouse.
The public is invited to enjoy live music in the comfortable living room environment of the main floor of the library, where visitors can also browse and check out books.
Hot drinks and baked goods will be available for sale by local spelling bee whiz Imogen Page.
The first Library Café will take place on Friday, Sept. 25. The series will continue every other week until Nov. 13. The coffeehouses run from 7 to 9 p.m. and are free.
The George Stevens Academy Jazz Combo will provide the entertainment for the first Library Café on Sept. 25.
Entertainment for the other three Library Café evenings, on Oct. 9 and 23 and Nov. 13, have not yet been determined.
Local musicians who are interested are encouraged to contact the library.
