Church hosting training session



ELLSWORTH — The Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth is offering “Non-Violent Direct Action Training” on Saturday, Jan. 13, from noon-5 p.m.

All are welcome at this training led by the Resources for Organizing and Social Change, sponsored by the church’s Peace and Social Action Committee and Eastern Maine for Racial Justice.

Learn methods to protest issues nonviolently using legal strategies, letter and media campaigns, as well as peaceful protesting.

Larry Dansinger of Resources for Organizing and Social Change is the program organizer. Participants should bring a bag lunch. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served.

Donations to the presenters are requested, but not required.
