SURRY — Surry’s annual Christmas tree lighting will have a new attraction this year with Santa’s Magic Chimney.
On Saturday, Dec. 12 (rain date Dec. 19), from 2 to 4 p.m., a team of Santa’s elves, trained in magic arts, will conjure up wrapped gifts and slide them down the chimney for each child at Memorial Park (opposite Pugnuts).
There will be live music and the event will feature all COVID-19 safety precautions. Social distancing and masks are a must.
Sponsors include Surry Celebrates Maine 200, the Surry Community Improvement Association and Pugnuts Ice Cream Shop, which will offer free cider, coffee or cocoa to all who attend.
