CASTINE — The Adams School Calvineers will host a chili dinner fundraiser at Emerson Hall in Castine on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 5-6:30 p.m.
The Adams School Calvineers are a group of seventh- and eighth-grade students doing research on endangered North Atlantic right whales, presenting their findings and educating the public in a variety of venues.
The group is currently raising funds to travel to Barcelona, Spain, in December to participate in the 2nd World Marine Mammal Conference.
The Jan. 31 dinner will feature a selection of homemade chili recipes, from traditional meat chili to vegetarian and vegan selections, with heat levels ranging from mild to spicy.
The cost of the chili meal, including cornbread, all the usual trimmings, beverages and desserts, will be $5 per person or $20 per family.
Limited carryout and delivery service will be available (with an additional fee for delivery).
To schedule delivery (within Castine only), call 266-7397 no later than 5:30 p.m. on the day of the dinner.
