Children’s Center Set for School Year

SOUTHWEST HARBOR Harbor House Children’s Center is going back to school for its 23rd consecutive year, featuring new and expanded programs for children from 18 months to 5 years old.

“Learning is not limited to our indoor, state-of-the-art child care center, but teachers will also take the classroom out into the recently completed natural PlayGarden,” a Harbor House spokesman said.

Families are welcome to stop by for a tour of the Children’s Center and to meet the staff. To help ease first-day jitters, Children’s Center students and their families are invited to share cookies and milk in pajamas on Labor Day from 6 to 7 p.m.

Tuition assistance is available through the State of Maine and the center’s Helping Hand Fellowship scholarship fund. For more information, contact Mary Ellen at 244-9824 or [email protected].
