Child Care Course Starting Jan. 14



ELLSWORTH — Child Care Opportunities Resource Development Center will be offering a 30-hour training called “Supporting Maine’s Infants & Toddlers: Guidelines for Learning & Development.”

The eight-week course will look at learning and development from birth to age 3. Participants will develop skills in observation, authentic assessment and curriculum planning for this age group.

The course will include additional hours to complete a case study and portfolio. It fulfills Child Development Associate training requirements in most subject areas.

The course will begin on Saturday, Jan. 14, and will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The class will then meet on Wednesday evenings, Jan. 17-Feb. 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. Classes will be held at Child and Family Opportunities in Ellsworth.

The course fee is $20 and pre-registration is required.
